BambooHR is one of the most popular HR packages for small and medium-sized businesses. Our integration makes it easy to automatically or manually export candidates from Breezy and create them as employees in BambooHR.

HRIS integrations are available to customers on Business and Pro plans.

You'll need to have an account with BambooHR before enabling the Breezy integration.

How to enable the BambooHR integration

If you’re an admin and already have a BambooHR account, you can enable the integration in your recruiting preferences.

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.

  2. Hover over Recruiting Preferences and click Integrations.

  3. Scroll to Employee Management (HRIS).

  4. Click Settings under BambooHR HRIS.

  5. Enter your BambooHR subdomain and click Connect.

Note: In order to use the integration, you’ll need admin permissions in BambooHR, or a custom access level with permission to view/edit first and last name fields.

Once the BambooHR integration is enabled, you can use it to move candidates to BambooHR in a couple of different ways:

  • Manually from any Candidate Profile

  • Automatically with Stage Actions

💡 Tip: Find your BambooHR subdomain

Your BambooHR subdomain is the first section of the URL you use with your BambooHR account. For example, if your BambooHR URL is https://acme.bamboohr.com, your subdomain is acme.


How to add a new employee to BambooHR manually

Once a candidate is moved to the Hired stage, you can manually add them to your BambooHR account.

  1. Open the candidate's profile in Breezy.

  2. Click Add to BambooHR in the top-right corner of the window.

The candidate will be added to your BambooHR account and BambooHR will appear in the candidate details section under Added to.

How to add new employees to BambooHR automatically

You can automatically add candidates to BambooHR with stage actions.

To set up the stage action:

  1. Open the pipeline view of the correct position.

  2. Click the settings menu (three dots) for the stage where you want to set the action.

  3. Select Edit Stage Actions in the dropdown.

  4. Click the dropdown for Available Stage Actions and select Add to BambooHR.

  5. Click + Add.

  6. Click Save Changes.

Now, any candidate that reaches the stage will automatically be added to your BambooHR account.

Supported fields

As part of the integration with BambooHR, the following candidate properties are supported:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Profile photo

  • Ethnicity (EEO)

  • Gender (EEO)

  • Department List

  • Position Title

  • Hire Date (Hire date will time stamp the date the candidate is exported to BambooHR. It can be changed in BambooHR to a different date if needed).
