Portal Settings

You’ll see each section of the portal settings in the left sidebar. You can skip directly to a specific section any time to make changes.

Portal Type

You can choose from two career portal layouts, Simple and Bold. Both templates are mobile-optimized, so they’re ready to go on any device.

  • The Simple template has a clean, minimalist design and gets straight to the point.

  • The Bold template makes an impact with options to add vibrant color and features like photo galleries, perks, testimonials, and more. This is the most popular template.

The layout you choose will determine the additional options you see on the left sidebar.

💡 Tip: Customize with CSS and Javascript

We like to keep things simple, so you don't need to code to make a gorgeous career portal. But if you want to add a third-party tracking code or some CSS to make your page just perfect, you can add it in career portal settings.

General

If you select the Simple layout for your careers site, you can add basic info about your company here, including:

  • Logo

  • Portal Name

  • Website address

  • A description

  • A short video

The General section is not shown if you choose the Bold layout.

Appearance

If you choose the Bold layout for your portal, you can:

  • Upload your logo

  • Customize the hero section at the top of the page

  • Customize colors for the hero, buttons, and links

  • Link your favicon

  • Enable applications through LinkedIn or Indeed.

The logo you upload will be displayed on a white background, so try to choose an image with color for contrast. Breezy will use your logo to generate a complementary color palette, which you can customize further if you like.

You can also add your own hero background image and adjust a color overlay to improve readability. We recommend using an image size of 1080 x 608. Just upload the perfect picture, then you can use a slider to adjust the intensity of the color overlay.

If you choose the Simple layout, the Appearance section only includes the option to enable applications through LinkedIn or Indeed.

Messaging

If you're using the Bold template, you can customize the text that appears on the hero. We’ll include defaults, but you can customize the header, subheader, and description with something that suits your employer brand.

Additional languages

Career portals default to English, but Breezy supports multiple languages. We detect the language set by a visitor’s web browser and automatically choose from our supported languages.

You can also specify a language for your career portal. Just scroll to the Language dropdown and select a language.

The Messaging section is not shown if you choose the Simple layout.

Website & Social

With either the Simple or Bold layout, you can add links for your company website and social profiles, including:

  • Company website

  • Twitter

  • Facebook

  • LinkedIn

  • Instagram

  • AngelList

  • Company blog

  • Glassdoor

You can also choose whether to display the links on the main page of open positions, on the position detail pages, or both.

Perks

Have unique, fun, or valuable perks you want to highlight? You can customize titles and choose an icon for each benefit you want to promote to candidates.

Provide great healthcare? Share it!

Have a ping pong table? Tell the world!

Offer flexible work hours? Let them know!

Just enter a title for your perk, choose an icon, and click +Add to Perks.

Up to 6 perks are shown at a time. If you add more, we'll randomize the 6 that are displayed each time the page loads.

Testimonials

Do your employees have great things to say about working with you? Spread the word! 📣

Just upload a photo, enter an employee’s name, title, and quote, and click +Add to Testimonials.

Three testimonials are shown at a time. If you add more, we'll randomize the 3 that are displayed each time the page loads.

You can add an Employees section to your careers site, to show candidates who’s already a part of your team.

Just upload a photo, enter an employee’s name and title and click +Add to Employees. You can also customize the section header and subheader.

Photos & Videos

Videos and photo galleries are ideal for showing off your team and giving candidates a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to work with your company.

Just add a link to your Vimeo or YouTube video, and upload photos for your gallery. The gallery layout changes based on the number of photos that you upload. You'll need to add at least 3 — the ideal number is 8.

Psst: The best shots show actual employees while they're in the office.

Content Layout

You can customize the overall layout of your careers site, to feature what’s most important to you. Just drag and drop the content sections to rearrange and organize the page, or click to hide sections you don’t need.

You can also decide how to display the list of openings, and whether to group jobs by location or department, based on the details in each position’s settings.

Social Sharing

The default portal settings do a pretty good job of showcasing your openings when you share them via social media. But if you want to make them your own, you can customize the text and images that are used when you share Breezy links online.
